Registration is from 9.30am on Day 1, 9am on Days 2 & 3. Lunch and refreshments will be provided, as will a workbook and CPD certificate.
This three day workshop is designed for people who have some training and experience in using compassion focused therapy having attended either a two or three day training course; are familiar with the basic evolutionary model; the role of affiliative emotion in threat regulation, distinctions between shame and guilt and competitive versus caring motivational systems and the dimensional nature of our minds.

This workshop is more experiential and practice based then the introduction and therefore participants will be required to engage in therapist-client role-plays where they will practice the specific skills of the specific interventions.
All participants will be aware that this is for training therapists and is not designed to provide therapy to participants.
Bookings require some proof of prior compassion focused training and practice (preferably attendance of a 2 or 3 day Introductory workshop).

Professor Paul Gilbert
Paul Gilbert, FBPsS, PhD, OBE is Professor of Clinical Psychology at the University of Derby and Consultant Clinical Psychologist at the Derbyshire Health Care Foundation Trust. He has researched evolutionary approaches to psychopathology over 35 years with a special focus on shame and the treatment of shame based difficulties - for which compassion focused therapy was developed. He was made a Fellow of the British Psychological Society in 1993. In 2003 Paul was president of the BABCP and a member of the first British Governments’ NICE guidelines for depression. He has written/edited 20 books and over 200 papers. In 2006 he established the Compassionate Mind Foundation a charity with the mission statement To promote wellbeing through the scientific understanding and application of compassion (www.compassionatemind.co.uk). He was awarded an OBE in March 2011.

Terms and Conditions:
Refunds, less a 20% administration fee, will be made if cancellations are received in writing up to six weeks before the Workshop. Any cancellations received after this time will not be eligible for a refund. We regret, refunds for failure to attend cannot be made but you can transfer your workshop fee to a future workshop.
